There are three functions within Breeze that can be set to run automatically:
Monthly Posting
Close Month
Late Fees
Automated tasks are designed to make the system function as smoothly as possible.
You can view the setup for automatic tasks on the Automated Tasks tab of the Company Settings screen. (To access this page, click your user name in the upper right-hand corner of the screen and select Company Settings.)
Click a row to open an individual task.
To activate a task, deselect the Inactive checkbox. By default, the tasks are scheduled as follows:
Monthly Posting: on the 25th, for Next Month.
Late Fees: on the 6th, for Next Month.
Close Month: on the 1st.
You can change the day and the post month. The Close Month task can only be set up to run on the 1st.
If you want to receive an email when a task succeeds or fails, enter your email address in the Notify by Email fields.
Monthly Posting Dates
By default, Monthly Posting is set to run on the 25th and create charges for the next month. This is appropriate for most clients -- if tenants pay early, their receipts can be matched to existing charges and there is no need to create prepays. It also ensures that automated online payments will pull correctly; the charges must be present on the ledger before the first or RentCafe will not pull funds from a tenant's account.
