If you have entered a tenant twice, it's easy to correct the error.
First, mark the second record as a duplicate. For example, you can add "duplicate" to the tenant's name.
Then go to Admin > Toolbox > Delete Objects.
For Object Type, select Tenant. Select the Property and the Tenant, and click Delete.
A warning message appears: Are you sure you want to delete this tenant?
Click OK, and you are done!
Note:
If the duplicate tenant has transactions (charges or receipts) you have to delete them first. Go to Admin > Toolbox > Delete Transactions. You will need to manually recreate those transactions on the tenant's real record, so you may want to save a copy of the ledger first.
After you delete the transactions, you can delete the tenant.
Important: If you determine the transactions are needed, save a copy of the ledger, delete the transactions, and re-enter the transactions on the new ledger.
