How do I use the global search feature?

Updated over a week ago

The global search feature allows you to search for persons and properties across your system -- vendors, owners, tenants, prospects, and properties.

It is called "global" because it searches the whole system, and because it is always available, at the top of the screen.

To use Global Search

Click the Search icon in the upper right-hand corner of the screen.

A data entry field opens.

Type the name of the person you are looking for and press Enter on your keyboard.

The results appear below.

Click on a name to open that person's record.

Note(s):

  • You can search by email addresses, phone numbers, physical addresses, and unit numbers, as well as names. For example, if you have a phone number and want to connect it with a name, you can enter the number and Breeze will return the matching person (if they have a record in your system).

  • You can also search by tenant codes. On the Tenant Information screen, the tenant code is shown in the Tenant ID field.

  • If you need to locate a Past Tenant you can use the global search feature. You can also review Tenants > Tenants > Click the filters button > select Past in the Status drop down > click Apply > search for the Past Tenant.
