Reviewing Bank Deposits

Updated over 2 months ago

In Breeze, a bank deposit is a record (in Breeze) of a deposit made to an actual bank. Each bank deposit comprises one or more receipt records (payments from tenants).

For example, you have a number of rent checks from tenants. You enter each check as a receipt record in Breeze. When you deposit the checks at your bank, you create a bank deposit record in Breeze.

To view a list of bank deposits

To view a list of deposits, go to Accounting > Accounts Receivable > Bank Deposits. The Bank Deposits screen appears.

Use this screen to view bank deposits or record a new one. Click anywhere in a row to open a bank deposit record.

You can use the Search field to locate specific deposits; for example, you could enter a date to find a deposit made on that date. You can also click on any column header to re-sort the list.

Click + Add New to create a new deposit.

To view a single deposit record

When you click a line on the Bank Deposits screen, an individual deposit record appears.

A deposit record contains information about the deposit and a list of the receipts in the deposit. Click a receipt to open the Receipt screen.

You can sort the receipts by any one of the column headers. In the example shown above, the receipts are sorted by Unit number.
