How do I add a MICR line to a deposit slip?

Updated over 3 weeks ago

On a deposit slip, the MICR line shows the bank account number and routing number in a special font.

"MICR" stands for magnetic ink character recognition.

To add the MICR line to a deposit slip

Open the Bank Account screen (Accounting > Banking > Bank Accounts).

Go to the Payment Setup tab.

Complete the Bank Deposit Printing Setup section. If you select the Same as Check option, Breeze will complete the Account Number field and the Routing Number field for you. If the numbers are different, you can complete the fields manually.

Click Save.

To print a deposit slip with the MICR line

Go to the Bank Deposit screen (Accounting > Accounts Receivable > Bank Deposits).

Open the Deposit Slip tab.

Click Print with MICR. (Note: This option only appears if you have done the setup shown above.)

A printable version of the Deposit Slip appears in a separate window.

The Deposit Slip includes the MICR line.
