Breeze allows you to copy check formatting from one bank to another:
When you set up a bank account, you can copy the formatting from another bank account. The formatting is then linked to the "copy from" bank. If you modify the "copy from" bank's check formatting, the change is passed on automatically.
You can set up a "parent" bank and share its check formatting to one or more child bank accounts. A child bank inherits the check formatting from the parent. If you modify the parent's formatting, the change is passed on automatically.
Both methods are shown below.
To copy check formatting from another bank account
Go to Accounting > Banking > Bank Accounts.
Open the bank account you want to modify, and go to the Payment Setup tab.
Click the Edit icon (the pencil).
Complete the Copy from Bank field.
Click Save. The screen refreshes.
The Check Format tab does not display any formatting fields; it only shows the name of the "copy from" bank account.
To set up a parent format and share it with children
Go to Accounting > Banking > Bank Accounts.
Open the bank account you want to be the parent format, and go to the Payment Setup tab.
Click the Edit icon (the pencil).
Click the Share Format tab. The tab lists the other bank accounts in the system.
Entries in the Current Format From column mean that a bank account is already linked to another bank account. In the example shown above, Wells Fargo is linked to Bank of Denver.
To link a bank, select the Use this format check box.
In our example, we are going to link the Bank of America account to the current bank account (Bank of NY).
Click Save.
If you go to the linked bank account, you can see that it has been modified. The Check Format tab does not display any formatting fields; it only shows the name of parent bank account.
