By default, there are two fields for phone numbers on screens for people, but you can add additional phone number fields, and you can edit the field labels. Phone number fields appear on the following screens: Owner, Prospect, Tenant, Vendor, and Customer.
Note: Do not change the label for Phone Number 1 -- it is reserved for the SMS feature.
To set up phone number labels
Go to Admin > Toolbox > Custom Lists.
Select the Phone Number Fields tab.
The labels shown above are the defaults. You can change them, or you can add new labels.
For example, for Phone Number 3, we enter "Emergency Phone."
Click Save.
Note: Do not change the label for Phone Number 1 -- it is reserved for cell phone numbers, and is used for SMS messaging.
When you go to the Tenant screen, you can see an additional phone number field with the new label.
Additional Information
1. In view mode, the phone number fields only appear on the screen if you have entered a phone number.
Click the Edit icon to view all the fields and complete them.
2. The phone number fields only appear if there is a label set up for them. When you enter a new label, you add a new field to the screen.
