How do I track insurance claims in Breeze?

Updated over 2 months ago

Claims are handled outside of Breeze, but you can track them in Breeze and use the Insurance Dashboard to view them.

To track insurance claims in Breeze

Open the tenant record.

Click the Renters Insurance tab.

Scroll to the right to expose the View Claims column. Click the View Claims icon.

The Claims Summary screen appears.

Click the Add Claim button. Another window appears where you can enter the claim information.

When you are finished, click Save. The claim appears in the summary.

Filing Claims

Master Policy Claims

For claims against the Master Policy, the property manager submits a Loss Notice Reporting form to ResidentShield via email ([email protected]) and it is handled from there. Tenants cannot file Master Policy claims as the policy doesn’t belong to them, it belongs to the property and only protects the property.

HO4 Claims

Tenants can file claims for their personal property and the property manager can file claims for liability losses to their property. Claims are filed directly with the individual carrier.
