How do I track the status of a maintenance request?

Maintenance requests are "open" or "closed" depending on their status.

Status

Open vs. Closed

Call/Web

Open

In progress

Open

On Hold

Open

Work Completed

Closed

Canceled

Closed

Open maintenance requests appear on the dashboard and on the Property screen.

To update the status

Select Maintenance. Locate the maintenance request and click anywhere in the row to open it. Click the Edit icon (the pencil).

Change the Status field. You can choose Call/Web, In Progress, Work Completed, On Hold, or Canceled. (The typical sequence is Call/Web, In Progress, and then Work Completed.)

When you change the status to Work Completed, another field appears on the screen: Completion Date.

The field defaults to the current date and time, but you can edit it as needed.
