If you set up a property as residential, add tenants, and then realize it was supposed to be commercial, you can use this function to convert the property to commercial.
Before you convert the property, open the tenant records and clear the First Name field. You can move the first name into the field for the Last Name
To convert a property
Go to Admin > Toolbox > Bulk Actions > Convert Residential Property to Commercial.
Select the Property and click Convert to Commercial.
A warning message appears.
Click OK. The property is converted to commercial, including the units and tenants.
