How do I enable screening?
You must be licensed for ScreeningWorks Pro. If you’re interested in screening prospects, please reach out to your sales representative for more information.
The setup for online payment processing must be complete.
To "turn on" screening for your account, please chat in or dial 1-833-7-BREEZE. Screening must be enabled by the support team.
When screening has been enabled for your account, you need to activate screening for each property and add the contact information of the screening administrator.
How does the screening process work in RentCafe?
When a prospective tenant completes an application on RentCafe and pays the application fee, the prospect is screened. The property manager receives an email stating that there is a new prospect.
Note: The property manager can view the screening or credit report by going to the Prospect screen and clicking the Applicant Screening: Complete message.
Can I screen applicants in Breeze as well as RentCafe?
Yes. There are two conditions:
Screening must be enabled for the property.
You need to record a manual payment for the application fee.
If these requirements have been met, the Prospect screen includes the Screening tab, where the screening administrator can fill out an application for the prospect and generate a screening report.
How long does it take to screen an applicant?
The majority have an instant turnaround. Some can take up to 1-3 business days.
