By default, Breeze allows more than one applicant per unit. (A prospect becomes an applicant when they pay the application fee, or when the property manager changes their status to applicant.)
Breeze handles multiple applicants in the following way:
The property manager can assign more than one applicant per unit.
On RentCafe, more than one applicant can sign up for the same unit.
As soon as you designate one of the applicants as the tenant, the unit is locked.
You can reassign the other applicants to other units (if they are available).
To limit applicants to one per unit
If you want to only accept one applicant per unit, you can change a setting on the Property screen. Click the Edit icon and select One applicant per unit.
After you enable the setting:
The property manager can only assign one applicant to a unit.
On RentCafe, only one applicant can sign up for the a unit.
