With this release, we have added Property Lists. You can now create a group of properties (a "list") and then select the group for reports and functions instead of selecting one property at a time.
Due Date has been added to the Payable screen and is honored by Make Payments and reports.
We have also added the RENTCafé Users Report, allowing you to see which tenants have signed up for RENTCafé and send an invitation to those who haven't.
Another new feature is the Transaction Register. You can search for any transaction type in the database - payables, deposits, receipts, charges, and journals -- and then view a list of transactions or drill down to single transactions.
Previously, the Vacancy widget on the Dashboard showed vacant units plus units with leases that will expire in the next sixty days. Now, by default, it only shows units that are currently vacant, but there is an option to include units with expiring leases to mimic the earlier behavior.
This release also includes the following changes to existing features:
If there are no vacant units, properties will not appear on rentcafe.com (Yardi's listing service).
For screens that have a large number of detail lines, we have added pagination.
On the Review Properties screen, we have added the Property Type column, with three options: Apartment, SFH (Single Family Home), and Commercial. Previously, we only highlighted SFH.
On the Batch Charge screen, we have added the Tenant filter to allow you to distribute a payable to a single tenant.
On a payable, if you enter a duplicate invoice number, Breeze gives a warning message. You can re-enter the invoice number, or, if the duplicate number is appropriate, you can click through the warning and save the payable.
On the Bank Deposit screen, we've added a column that displays the memo entered on each receipt to help you select the right receipts for the deposit.
The Monthly Posting screen now has a Print button.
On a payable, you cannot use a cash account as the expense account, and Breeze no longer allows you to save transactions if this is the case.
If you need a second address line for a vendor, you can click the Use PO Box option, and a second line will appear. In this case, Breeze does not check the address with Google, so you can enter suite numbers or office numbers.
On the Vendor screen, we added a field for payment memos. You can enter text here (for example, an account number), and it will appear in the Memo field on checks made out to the vendor.
