If a tenant bounces one or more checks, you can change their Payment Method to Cash Only. If they attempt to pay by any other means, an error message will appear.
To accept only cash payments from a tenant
Open the tenant record.
Click the Edit icon (the pencil) and change Payment Method to Cash Only.
Click Save.
When you receive a payment from the tenant, you can mark it as a Cash Payment on the Receipt screen.
If you attempt to save a non-cash receipt from the tenant, an error message appears.
Note: Tenants will no longer be able to make online payments on the RentCafe tenant portal.
