How do I enroll tenants in the master policy?

Updated over 3 weeks ago

Once the master policy has been set up for a property, you can enroll tenants in it.

Tenants can opt out by purchasing an H04 policy or by providing proof of insurance from a third party carrier.

You can find out which tenants require insurance by looking at the Insurance Dashboard.

To enroll tenants in the master policy

Open the Tenant screen.

Open the Renters' Insurance tab.

Click Enroll in Master Policy.

A popup appears.

Complete the screen and click Save.

A line for the master policy appears on the Renter's Insurance tab.

Breeze automatically adds a monthly charge for the insurance. You can see it on the Current Scheduled Charges tab.

The charge includes the admin fee.

The charge code for insurance is set up on the Company Settings screen, Account Settings tab. The default charge code is Renters Insurance.

Note(s):

  • If your property does not have a master policy, contact support and they will help you set one up.

  • Instead of enrolling tenants one at a time in the master policy, you can use the bulk feature to enroll a group of them at once.
