This article explains how to change a prospect's ID verification status.
If a prospect has failed too many attempts, you can unlock the prospect, which allows them to try to verify their ID again. If a prospect cannot complete their verification, you can complete it for them, by clicking the Override button. This changes their status from Denied to Complete and allows them to continue their application on RentCafe.
To override a prospect's ID verification status
This example shows how to change the status from Denied to Complete. At the end of the article, we discuss the other status changes.
Go to Tenants > Prospects. A list of prospects appears.
Locate the prospect whose verification status you want to change and open their record.
On the Prospect Information screen, click the ID Verification link.
The ID Verification screen appears. The Status field shows Denied.
Click the Override button. The Status field changes to Complete.
The prospect can now continue their application on RentCafe.
Using the Lock and Unlock Buttons
If a prospect has failed too many attempts at verification, their status is Locked. If you click the Unlock button, the prospect can attempt the verification again.
If you wish to prevent a prospect from using the ID Verification feature, click the Lock button. This keeps them from verifying their ID and applying on RentCafe.
