How can I invite tenants to sign up with RentCafe?

Signing up with RentCafe benefits your tenants -- they can pay rent online and enter maintenance requests. It can also benefit you as a manager -- if the tenants are signed up, you can communicate with them more easily. To encourage tenants to sign up, run the RentCafe Users report and send an email invitation to tenants who have not yet registered.

To invite tenants to register with RentCafe

Go to Tenants > RentCafe Invite.

Select a property. In the Registered on RentCafe field, select Not Registered.

In the From field, you can select which email address to use as the sender's address: either the current user's address or the company's.

When you click Display, the report appears.

The report shows which tenants have not signed up. Send an invitation by clicking the Send Email button. If you have already sent an invitation, the report shows the date the last email was sent.

The invitation email contains a link to rentcafe.com, and tenants can register to use the website.

Note: You can also run this report to see which tenants have registered, and when they registered.

Invitation Email Template

There is a template for the invitation email that you can personalize. Go to the Company Settings screen. Click the Email Template tab.

In the For field, select Tenant.

In the Type field, select RENTCafe Invite Letter. The template for the invitation email appears.

You can modify the template as needed.
