In Breeze, remittance advice is a report sent to vendors by email to show which invoices have been paid. The report detail includes invoice numbers and payment numbers.
If you are using Yardi's Bill Pay service, this report is especially helpful, because vendors receive EFT payments directly in their bank account with no indication of which invoices are being paid. The remittance advice ties the payments to invoices, so the vendors can better track payments.
To generate remittance letters
Go to Reporting > Correspondence > Vendor/Owner.
On the left side of the screen, select Remittance Advice.
Complete the filter. The only required field is Month Range.
Click Display. The screen displays a list of matching payment records.
For each payment record, there are three links on the right:
View: Downloads the report.
Preview: Opens a window that gives a preview of the email message that will be sent to the vendor.
Send: Sends the email to the vendor with the report as an attachment.
You can also select all the vendors by clicking the checkbox at the top left of the grid (to the left of Payee Name).
You can then download the reports by clicking the View button, or you can email them directly to the vendors by clicking the Email button.

When you select Preview, the email message appears in a separate window. The report is attached.

If needed, you can edit the template for the email message. Go to Company Settings > Email Templates.
In the For field, select Vendor.
In the Type field, select Remittance Advice.
Click the Edit icon (the pencil) to open the template for editing.
Click Save when you are done.
